If you are comparing Mars to Earth, then your comparison is already flawed…..
Our atmosphere is different composition.
Our gravity is different.
And there is great differences in our orbital path, our axis tilt, and the distance our planet is from the sun.
As far as I know….there is no Ozone layer on Mars’ atmosphere either….
You think you are making apples to apples comparison, which makes me doubt your intellect.
