vincent (Starry Starry Night) Piano Cover

Music by Don McLean
performulated by eLi gARF, piaNOwarist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Starry starry [G]night, paint your palette [Am]blue and grey
Look out on a [C]summer’s day with [D7]eyes that know the darkness in my [G]soul
Shadows on the [G]hills, sketch the trees and the [Am]daffodills
Catch the breeeze and the [C]winter chills, in [D7]colors on the snowy linen [G]land [C] [G]
{soc}
Now I under[Am]stand [D7]what you tried to [G]say to me
[Em]How you suffered for you [Am7]sanity[D7] How you tried to set them [Em]free
They would not listen they did [A7]not know [Am7]how [D7] Perhaps they’ll listen [G]now
{eoc}
Starry starry [G]night, flaming flowers that [Am]brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in [C]violet haze [D7]reflect in Vincent’s eyes of chine [G]blue
Colors changing [G]hue, morning fields of amber [Am]grain
Weathered faces [C]lined in pain are [D7]soothed ‘neath the artists’s loving [G]hand [C] [G]
{c: chorus}
[G]For they could not [Am7]love you, [D7]but still your love was [G]true [F#] [E]
And when no [Am7]hope was left in sight, on that [Cm]starry starry night
You [G]took your life as [F7]lovers often [E7]do,
But I [Am7]could have told you, Vincent,
This [C]world was never meant for one as [D7]beautiful as you
Stary, starry [G]night, portraits hung in [Am]empty halls
Frameless heads on [C]nameless walls with [D7]eyes that watch the world and can’t for[G]get.
Like the stranger that you’ve [G]met, the ragged man in [Am]ragged clothes
The silver thorn of [C]bloody rose, lie [D7]crushed and broken on the virgin [G]snow [C] [G]
Now I th[Am]ink I know [D7]what you tried to [G]say to me
[Em]How you suffered for you [Am7]sanity[D7] How you tried to set them [Em]free
They would not listen they’re [A7]not listening [Am7]still [D7]
Perhaps they never [G]will
2Pac, Starry Night-Quincy Jones & Mac Mall
Posted by admin on March 15th, 2010 and filed under starry night | 12 Comments »
My first videoclip :)
From the album “The Rose That Grew From Concrete”.
It’s a dedication from Tupac to Vincent van Gogh, a famous dutch painter. Tupac felt very close to him. Here is a little quote from Tupac telling why he felt close to him:
‘Because nobody appreciated his work until he was dead. Now it’s worth millions. I feel close to him, how tormented he was. Marvin too. That’s how I was out there. I’m in jail now, but I’m free. My mind is free. The only time I have problems is when I sleep.’
Starry Night Dedicated in Memory of Vincent van Gogh
A creative heart, obsessed with satisfying
This dormant and uncaring society
u have given them the stars at night
and u have given them Bountiful Bouquets of Sunflowers
But 4 u there is only contempt
and though u pour yourself into that fame
and present it so proudly
this world could not accept your masterpieces
from the heart
So on that starry night
u gave 2 us and
u took away from us
the one thing we never acknowledged
your life
- Tupac Shakur
What type of paint is best to use if i am trying to recreate the look of starry night?
Posted by admin on March 12th, 2010 and filed under starry night | 2 Comments »
I have to do a project in my art appreciation class where i have to recreate a famous piece of art, but because i have never painted before my professor told me not to use oil, so what would be the easiest type of paint to use to get the same texture that Van Gogh made?
Also, what type of brush would be best to use?
Acrylic paint, used thickly, will do just fine. There are all sorts of mediums you can to give it more texture. The one that comes to mind first is called "Texture Medium". There are others, so go to a full service art store and take a look at what’s available. You might want to see if your college bookstore has a selection of art supplies that might include those mediums. You can also check online art suppliers, but you might not recieve your supplies in time for a project. You can email me through my profile here at Y/A if you need any help with it.
One of my favorite artists is Vincent Van Gogh an one of my favorite paintings he did was starry night?
i want to do my bedroom in the colors and all from the painting what are some ideas anyone may have and where can i find fabrics by the yard with his starry night painting it i want to make my own daybed cover and make pillow cases and sheets and curtains with the panting on it?
Don’t recall seeing it on fabrics since the early 90’s, but guess what popped up on a quick google search?
Note: fabric prints like these tend not to stay in print for long… once the yardage is gone, that’s it.
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Moonless Starry Night (english)
Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under starry night | 25 Comments »
My first try at this kind of video. Never had much luck finding this song but I’ve finally got hold of it, enjoy.
English version of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles ending song.
Song: Moonless Starry Night
Artist: Donna Burke
If you want the song send me a message and I’ll give you the link.
Lyrics:
Face to the sea
I hear the wind
Calling me to truth
Close your eyes
And dream beneath
The warmth of skies of blue
Longing to rest my weary bones
So long the path
O be still my soul
Don’t say a word
I know what’s on your mind anytime
Follow the path and you will see
Together we can sigh
Holding dear times in mind
Friends stay near
They guided my path and my heart
I thank you
When the night was creeping and frightening
Then I saw the love of my mother dear
Aching for the arms of my family
Holding back the tears
Holding back the darkness
Moonless starry night
Am I stronger, wiser than
When I first met you?
Could it be that I’ve grown and changed?
I’m happy if it’s true
In the dark of night
Don’t be scared, believe me
I can show you what’s right
Follow the path of light
Together we’ll shine
In the moonless starry night
Can a small version of "Starry Night" fit on my foot?
Posted by admin on March 8th, 2010 and filed under starry night | 3 Comments »
Vincent Van Gogh’s "Starry Night". I’ve always had a thing for that painting. I have a pretty small foot though size 6 & a bit narrow. Any idea if it would look F*cked up shrinking it down? Thanks!
I would not advise you that you try to get that on your foot. That is something that an artist would do on a whole leg, or a backpiece, or at smallest an arm, but there is no way a GOOD artist would do it on your foot, and it would end up looking like a bunch of strange swirls. Trust me. I had some simular ideas, but after talking with the artist they dont advise getting so much detail on such a small area. It won’t look as good.
